Business locations with employees in each municipality by NAICS industry and employee size. Counts establishments where they are located; businesses without employees are excluded (the without-employees table is only published for Canada and provinces). Downloaded manually in a browser.

National Broadband Data, hexagon coverage (Map_Data_Shapefile, Data_Hex_Donnees)

What we use it for
Share of households in each roughly 24 km² hexagon with access to 50/10 Mbps (ISED's ranges), and whether more than 75% have 5/1 Mbps. Hexagons are assigned to the municipality containing their centre. Household counts are published only as ranges, so we report hexagon shares and a household floor, not exact household shares. The files label the two coverage fields Expr1 and Expr2; we matched them to the dictionary (NBD-Map-Data_dictionary_e.txt) by type and values: Expr1 (T/F) = Avail_5_1_75PctPlus_Dispo, Expr2 (range) = Avail_50_10_Gradient_Dispo. Downloaded manually in a browser.
